Knitting Boards, Looms, and Rakes
Knitting board, knitting rake, and knitting loom are terms used to describe the varying types of tools for no needle knitting. A knitting board has two straight pieces with pegs seperated by spacers. The knitting will exit the board between the long parts. A knitting rake is a single long straight piece with pegs. The knitting will come off on one side of the rake. A knitting loom is usually a round piece with pegs on one side. The knitting will come off in the center of the ring. All three are used to create knitting without using any knitting needles. |
