Gecco Expresso In Gold Canyon, AZ As you leave Apache Junction and the greater Phoenix area heading southeast on Highway 60, you soon come to the settlement of Gold Canyon. This large suburban housing area is nestled snug in the lap of the Superstition Mountains. In the strip mall by the large Basha's grocery store is the little friendly coffee shop, Gecco Expresso. This tiny shop dispenses smiles, coffee, expresso drinks, and smoothies. Any time of the day you will find customers seated on the comfortable couches enjoying a hot or cold coffee based beverage while surfing the internet on their laptop computer or reading one of the local papers. One of the best things about this coffee shop is their rewards program. Once you get your free card scanned for your purchase, a running tally is kept on the store computer and every 10th purchase is free. This keeps me coming back for a coffee time and again. The attitude of the shop can be summed up by reading a couple of signs posted on the wall. "No geccos were harmed in the making of our Gecco Expresso" and "Unattended children will be given two shots of expresso and a free puppy"
