Add a handy table to the outside living space on your Toyota motorhome.
I spilled my coffee for the last time This simple table will add to the pleasure of sitting under your awning.
When I purchased my Toyota motorhome, the previous owner pointed out that there was a folding table in the storage area but she did not know how to install it. I thanked her and proceeded to close the deal. Later, when I got the camper home, I decided to investigate this feature. A previous owner had made this simple table out of 1/2 inch plywood. It is 40 inches long by 20 inches wide with a folding leg on one end and some metal brackets on the other. There was no corresponding brackets outside on the motorhome that I could find. I don't know how the maker used the table. I later discovered the mating pieces to the brackets tucked away in one of the drawers in the galley. I decided to install the brackets and use the table. I screwed the brackets to the outside of the camper. I set the height at about 29 inches. This has turned out to be too high to use the table as an eating surface while sitting in the tube chairs. It needs to be about 6 inches lower but the sidewall right above the wheel well on my Toyota motorhome is weak in this area. I did not want to drill into this spot for the screws. This type of table is easy to construct. Simply hinge a single leg to one end, add the appropriate mounting brackets to the other and attach to the side of the motorhome. It is a welcome addition to enjoying the outdoors in our Toyota motorhome.
